12/08/2019
The first international wheat conference was held at TCU conference facility in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada from July 21st to July 26th, 2019.

The Congress is the first meeting of its kind. More than 900 delegates from all over the world met to present and discuss the most recent findings in wheat breeding, genomics and genetics.
Nordic Seed was actively participating in this meeting with an oral presentation and a poster. The oral presentation presented by Nordic Seed genomic breeder Pernille Merete Sarup was about the MAGIC (Multiparent advanced generation intercross) and NAM (Nested association mapping) population from MultiRes project for multiple disease resistance. The MultiRes is a collaboration project with Aarhus University, Department of Agroecology, Falkkebjerg.
The poster was about improving the wheat quality by genomic selection done by Peter Skov Kristiansen during his PhD study.
