History
The genesis of Nordic Seed

Nordic Seed was founded in 2008 from a merger between Pajbjerg A/S, the Abed Foundation and DLA Agro.
The Pajbjerg Foundation had been breeding agricultural crops since 1920 and the Abed Foundation had been breeding barley, wheat and oat since 1903.
Danish Agro and Vestjyllands Andel bought out Pajbjerg A/S and the Abed Foundation in 2014.
Both owners have significant market share on the Danish market within grain, feedstuff, fertilizer, seed, plant protection, oil products and other farm supply products.
During the past few years, Danish Agro and Vestjyllands Andel have increased their international presence and now operate in many sectors, both in Denmark and internationally.
